What printed-to-order actually means

There is no pile of finished Northline tees waiting in a warehouse. Here is the path from checkout to your door.

A print-on-demand shirt starts as a blank. The blank is a tee, hoodie, or cap in a specific size and color, made by a cut-and-sew mill. Northline does not sew the garment. We design the graphic and choose the blank.

When you place an order, that blank is pulled and the graphic is printed on it. Water-based ink is the default on our cotton tees. It soaks into the shirt instead of sitting on top as a thick film, which is why it ages with the fabric.

Production on a live order takes 2–5 business days. That window is the print queue, not the mail. After the piece is packed, a US carrier takes it the rest of the way. Standard service is 5–8 business days. Express is 2–3.

Because the piece did not exist before you ordered it, we cannot swap it for a different graphic sitting on a shelf. If the size is wrong, the return window is shorter than a typical mall receipt. The shipping and returns page has the exact terms.

This demo store stops before any of that. The order number you see at checkout is saved on your device so you can practice the flow. Nothing is printed.
